Musique sublime ,fort bien interprétée !!! Mise en scène moderne ,plutôt assez bien réussie !!! On peut bien sûr trouver mieux ....!!! mais surtout bien pire !!! ....dans de nombreuses productions modernes .... même à Bayreuth !!!!!!

Formidable production! La direction d’acteurs est exceptionnelle, c’est vraiment le point fort de cette mise en scène. Les chanteurs sont aussi très bons. Un de mes Rings préférés.

I really enjoyed most of this production, but Act III seems as though it was directed by someone else entirely. Most disappointingly, the powerful men's chorus imploring Amfortas to perform the rite "for the last time", is entirely excised inexplicably. That particular chorus bookends the transfiguration scene from Act I, and where did Kundry go? Am I missing something? I was looking forward to the third act. To me, Kundry's death in the Met Opera's production with Katerina Dalayam and Jonas Kauffman, remains the best and most touching. I love the playful banter between the young pages here, in Act I, it gives the whole thing some realism.

Ryan McKinny sang the same role here in Buenos Aires in Marcelo Lombardero´s superb production (also available in full video in UA-cam, certainly worth watching!!!) orchestra and chorus of the Colón Opera House magnificently conducted by Alejo Pérez ( ua-cam.com/video/2tP8X-g6GVM/v-deo.html )

Loge is great! Probably the most interesting and original renditions of that character I've seen so far.

More courage trusting a pigeon to keep in character. They are easier to train than tenors, but still. All kidding aside, this is a wonderful production, staying true to the emotion and thought of the opera where it is serious as well as where it is whimsical. Thank you, Royal Danish Opera, and thank you, Enrico Dandolo. The Fourth Crusade is not forgiven, but thanks even so.

The raw courage of this production continues. Imagine trusting a tenor to climb down that contraption into Fafner's lair without breaking his neck!

Of course the Copenhagen Ring would have the Wanderer bring a Danish to his confrontation with Mime. In a move that required even greater courage, this version trusts a bass-baritone to tap out the Nibelung smithery tattoo in time with an orchestra composed of real musicians conducted by an actual musician. We all know singers can't be trusted to stay in tune or on the beat, so this required more courage than wagering their heads on answering three questions.

Wow. I have loved this music for a long time, but this staging gives me a way to relate to the story and all of the characters that makes sense to me.

These are my favorite cast of Gibichungs. I love the visual and psychological interpretations of their personalities and relationships. Gunther and Gutrune as trust-fund brats and Hagen as the hard working subordinate who actually runs the show.

Il vaut mieux assister au Ring à Copenhague qu'à Bayreuth... Mise en scène riche d'innovations, musique et chanteurs très bons. Bravo, l'esprit wagnérien est respecté mieux qu'à Bayreuth. Félicitations à tous les intervenants et MERCI.

Le Ring sordide de 2016 sortait des égouts de Bayreuth... Pour ce Parsifal 2016, je suis ravi par la qualité des arts associés...musique, chants, esthétique, décors et originalité empreinte dans la mystique Wagnérienne. Gratitude et bravo.

Großartige Aufführung! An das Bühnenbild konnte ich mich sehr schnell gewöhnen, und da es sehr überschaubar ist hat es mir sogar nach kurzer Zeit gefallen. Das Orchester ist 1a, und der Dirigent ist sehr Partitur treu, sehr gut 👍 Die Sänger sind hervorragend, es macht mir sehr viel Freude ihnen zu zuhören. Diese Inszenierung, mit dieser Besetzung, ist absolute Oberliga, und wesentlich besser als das was uns in den letzten Jahren in Bayreuth vorgesetzt wurde.

Seit 35 Jahren das gleiche Dilemma: Gesungen wird gottvoll (für mich auch Vogt, weil ich lyrische Tenöre als Parsifal, Siegmund und Tristan bevorzuge). Einige, wenig Highlights in der Personenführung und das war´s! Ansonsten nervige Videoprojektionen und das Ärgerlichste der letzten zehn Jahre: Vorspiele (vor allem Wagnersche) optisch zu "erklären"! Wagners geniale musikalische "Einführung" bedarf nur der Ohren und braucht keine Augen! PS: McKinny ist-stimmlich superb- zweifellos "the most sexiest Amfortas" aller Zeiten, doch die "Christus-Persiflage", welchem Geist sie auch entsprungen ist, bleibt peinlich und verzichtbar!

@48:00, the book Mime takes from the shelve has on its cover a photo of the set for the same opera produced in Bayreuth by Chéreau. Same photo can be seen on the cover of the albums of that recording (video or audio). Nice detail! Also @1:02:33 Mime has in his hands a book with the title Niedhohle, the place where Fafner sleeps. I think in the libretto it appears as "Neidhöle wird es genannt ..." at this very scene.

I saw this product of Parsifal in Bayreuth and it was very good. It was very warm in the auditorium but the sound cannot be equated anywhere in the world.

56:32 the staging of this violent "de-Valkyrification," and the emotional buildup to it, is probably the single most effective moment I have ever seen in opera. Just a gut-wrenching moment, brilliantly acted by James Johnson and Irene Théorin. That timpani player is beating on our hearts.

qute inventive to have a silent acting in the ouverture, mosttime it is done with a closed curtain, giving a bit of the feeling: "OK when do we start?" But of course the Roaring Twenties enscenerion is top notch too.

Wow, you can actually see the title of Brunnhilde's book! (A book of English essays). A nice touch!!

I've have only just now finished Act I, lying in bed. I got up an applauded. What a great performance of a truly great work of art. Each act is a dramatic and musical masterpiece. This entire production, from the orchestra to the design and direction to the truly great singing actors, is quite special. The audio recording could be better (and, after all, UA-cam does not offer great audio anyway), but that hardly detracts from the overall experience.
